SEASON 2025 OUTLOOK / PREDICTION

I'm far from being a sportswriter. However, here is my personal outlook on the upcoming season. If the offense can perform using all of its weapons on display, then Clemson can score an average of 42 - 49 points per game without any issues. With the depth, talent, and experience that Clemson returns on that side of the ball I have no doubt that Clemson can outscore anyone in the nation this season. On the other hand, the verdict is still out on the defense. I am partially convinced that Clemson would have won the National Title had the defense been up to par in 2024. This is based upon our offensive production alone. If the defense can live up to half of the hype that is surrounding that unit this season, then you can pencil Clemson in as the National Champion. In fact, I'm willing to go bold and say that if Clemson's defense lives up to the preseason hype, then Clemson may go undefeated but have a few close games.

I think they both will be solid. We need great though. Hopefully they can step up to greatness.

The massive upgrade on the defensive coaching side is what has me excited

Then you factor in what should be a gelled, exciting offense all coming off what was already an ACC title and playoff team and, well....the pieces are all on the table. They just have to go out there and do it.

I like the way you think. I am hopeful for the same but it takes a whole lot of everything falling in place and going right to make it through the whole season unscathed. We know it can happen.

Unlike you I am an expert.
In 2016 I posted a long explanation as to why "next year" Tigers would be ready to make a run for it all.
They made me look a fool by winning the Natty that year.
