Jeff Scott talks depth chart, redshirts
Open starting spots are almost nonexistent for Clemson’s offense during fall camp, so co-offensive coordinators Jeff Scott and Tony Elliott are making sure the starters get their required work while also keeping an eye on who will man those second-team spots. Full Story » |

I have a feeling that Coop will be redshirting

Which in all actuality he really should but i was so hoping to see him on the field this season. I have full trust in Scott, Elliott, & Swinneys decision. Ive just been excited to see him play since he committed. Its crazy this season for starting spots or even 2nd string spots so i can only imagine how crazy itll be next season when we get Johnson & Brice in here vying for a starting spot with Coop, Bryant, & Isreal. Great problem to have! Go Tigers!

Yea, it's going be very, very hard for him to see the field this year. Especially since he wasn't even an early enrollee. He will make his mark come March.
IMO, If Kelly doesn't make a bit of a statement this year, next year's QB battle could come down to Cooper and Johnson.
Just saying... #21

In a perfect world we want Cooper to redshirt. DW accounts for 50 tds with Scheusler/KB getting some second half playing time in blowouts. Cooper will be far more ready this time next year to step in.

considering their best reciever is gonna be a converted qb playing reciever for the first time or a guy we would only take as a safety, they'd probably be ecstatic to have just one of our freshmen!

RB is the least of our concern. With the exception of FSU all backups could start anywhere in ACC***

I'm not so sure about that at this point. I think the guy everyone will be impressed with will actually be our guy Choice. Don't get me wrong, I love the Wayne Train, but IMO we won't miss a beat when Choice comes in, maybe even be a bit more explosive. I think he will definitely be the #1 guy next year, with Feaster and him mowing people down.
