Saturday is huge for clemson going forward, we have to show recruits and the world that we are not a brand that's outdated and completely fell off.....Saturday is going to go a long way in determining the direction of our program.
If we win...a lot of the doubters will shut up, a lot of the recruits will understand clemson is still a powerful program capable of big wins.
If we lose, we will officially be seen as a fallen power....might seem unfair....but the world has waited to shovel dirt on us for a long time....
They've dug the hole, paid the preacher and prepared the ceremony....
But guess what?
We ain't showing up to our funeral....

This game will show whether the Duke debacle was a fluke and the last 2 years were an aberration.
There will be no good way I can think of to spin a solid loss at home against the Noles.

I agree. This game will show the college football world that our Tigers belong.
It also go a long way towards showing our faith in Coach Swinney.
Apparently some have lost that belief in him. I have not!

high as expectations were for this season, this is largely a very young team, especially when you factor in the # of veteran teams whose stars/the bulk of their starting players are 5th/6th year guys and multi year starters. This is one of many tough games on our schedule but the fact is a peak ahead shows an offense that will return 9 or 10 starters and a D that with the possible exception of 2 LB spots will return their best players and be even deeper. You look at who our opponents will be losing and especially QB and the schedule should be infinitely easier next year as a whole. That’s not to say this season can’t be great. I think we get the W this weekend. I just expect more inconsistency and a tougher road this year than what the future holds for this current roster and program.

I think what makes this game different is it feels like we are fighting for our reputation. Everyone is ready to declare us a has-been and that our elite status is over. This is one of those pride games where you either prove them right or prove them wrong, and there are serious consequences around recruiting, winning the conference, playoffs, etc.
While it may not be our biggest game ever, it might be one of our more important games.
