you just accepted the fact that youre not a top tier football program. Youre not even second tier. Your Kentucky, Mizzu, Arkansas, NCSt, Maryland. Thats who you are. Youre not USC, youre not Bama, and youre #### sure not Clemson. Never have been, never will be. Accept it, move on, be happy-er.

because the vast majority of uof5c fans I have ever encountered are a bunch of malcontents, but they would certainly get ridiculed a lot less.

While they're at it, they need to get rid of that stupid flattened chicken athletic logo.

Go with the interlocking SC that is used on the baseball caps. Much better look IMO.

Nah. It makes sense, and there's no shame in being sensible. It's better than "SCAR", and you've got to admit that the whole "USC" thing was confusing, given that USC in California has been a long standing, very popular and widespread brand for a longer time.

You should be careful with those logical responses around here.

But, I agree with you completely. Unless they're willing to challenge Southern Cal for the exclusive right to the brand USC, then they had to do something different. No one outside of South Carolina thought of USC as University of South Carolina. They're trying to expand their brand, so they needed to differentiate.

That said, I find anytime SCAR curls up into a fetal position to be amusing. It may have been a necessary move, but it is certainly a desperate one.

They had to since the coots really dont have an actual football program. I think they should change their mascot to "the conference doormats" (sorry vandy).
