-- Saturday's loss to Duke was a brutal gut punch. You can say you are over it but it is difficult to move on.
-- Quick turnaround, 9 p.m. Empty seats because fans have excuses for not attending. The Lunatic Fringe will blame that on Brownell. There are issues with 9 p.m., but if you are not going to come and use your lower deck/midcourt seat, get the tickets to a Clemson fan.
-- All this team has heard for the last year: You won 23 games, but the loss to Louisville kept you out of the tournament. Some of y'all remember when Clemson played at Louisville last season, the Cardinals honored a national championship team. There was emotion in the building that had not been there all season. Home crowd can make a difference. Clemson could not lose this game, so they went in with clinched teeth and a little tight. Middle 20 minutes were pretty good. Yeah, it was ugly. But it was a win. Nothing ugly about a win.
-- Louisville has a pattern this season. They lose the first half and win the first half. They have done it several times this season. Clemson won the first half by 12. Louisville won the second half by six. Still a win for the Tigers.
-- Up 24, Clemson relaxed and stopped making shots. Louisville did not relax. Louisville can't shoot, but the Cardinals did play hard.
-- Louisville's one ACC win is at Miami, a team many people think has one of the best starting fives in college basketball.
-- Wins by TCU and South Carolina improved Clemson's NET ranking.
-- The Lunatic Fringe will never be happy.

losing to Louisville last year is not what kept Clemson out of the tournament. While that definitely hurt, it was a combination of losing a handful of games to Quad 4 teams, and losing 6 of the last 11 games.
It is entirely possible to win ugly, and last night was absolutely an ugly win, but to your point, it sure beats playing well and losing.

Come on man. Do better! These excuses do not make things better than what they really are. Just beat a weak Louisville team at home by 6 and currently sitting at 4-5 in conference. Spin it if you want but it’s predictable to those that keep up with it.

Miss the tournament and he’s gone man. IDC how you spin it. This team has enough games left to show they belong in post season and most hope they do, but if they only pull off 19-20 wins there is a high chance they get left out. Deservingly so.
But at this point in the season we look like a typical BB coached team. I believe this is the most talented team he’s ever had and we look like we might barely squeeze in the back door of the tournament at best.
Also we look just down the road and a second year head coach has his team beating the breaks off top ten teams and sitting at 18-3. Let’s talk about their history. They aren’t a basketball school and don’t have a history of tournament success like some like to say about our BB program and why we should be happy with what we got. Us anti BB fans have watched him for 14 do the same thing. He can’t recruit and he can’t get us to be better than average. He’s the Tommy Bowden of BB.

Spot on. I hope the Clemson administration sees what is going on in Columbia and how a new coach can inject life into a moribund program. If not, Clemson will fall way behind SC in men's basketball. Women's basketball is a lost cause with SC.
