Would the Big 12 be an improvement?

Over the ACC? I think it would be. But...you still would much rather be in the SEC or Big Ten. But I don't see either of those conferences inviting Clemson. Big Ten for academic reasons. SEC because they already have the Coots. So it's probably going to be the Big 12 if the ACC falls apart. Personally I'd rather be in the SEC over any. Big Ten would be very interesting but they just won't budge on the whole academic thing.

Yes. Big 12 has more teams who care about fb than the ACC.***

Nope. The Big 12 schools will be making less TV money when their new contract starts than the ACC.

But if you add Clemson, FSU, UNC, and Miami/UVA to the Big12, and FOX/CBS is gaining those programs, would the payouts be better than the current ACC ESPN deal?
Currently, the Big12 is at ~$32M (not including the Utah, Az St, Az, Colorado switch) and the ACC is at ~$41M.

A contract is a contract. The value doesn't change until it's expired. Yes, those teams would raise the value of the new contract starting in 2028/29. But not until then.

The ACC teams are worth more and it would take ACC teams joining the Big XII to move the needle.

Huff do you think the SEC would be interested

Since they already have a team in this state? They do have Mississippi State and Ol Miss, Tenn and Vandy and of course Alabama and Auburn. But those are all old school already in the conference . They did add Texas but Texas the state about the size of the old SEC territory put together. Personally I think there are two different markets in this state (actually three counting Charleston) but they don't see it that way.
Big Ten seems more interested in North Carolina and Stanford so they can be the BRAIN conference I guess. Nothing wrong with Clemson academic s but we are not AU or AAU or whatever that organization is.

Without OU and TX the BIG 12 is no better than the ACC. It would be a lateral move.
Clemson is a top 10 program in regards to TV viewing audience. We are also located in one of the hottest recruiting areas in the country. BIG/FOX would add us in if the GOR was not in place. The SEC also does not want the BIG dipping down South to get more exposure and money. CFB is king down here, not so much up north so landing FSU or Clemson would be huge for the BIG.
We will get our seat at the table as soon as an exit from the GOR is negotiated or settled in court.

No, honestly the ACC isn’t bad and I think is more marketable than the big 12.

If you list the teams in each conference side by side…

I think the ACC is still clearly the better conference, and it’s not really close.
