Agreed…and as this administration continues to ignore the judicial and the constitution there will (hopefully) be others who reach their personal limit and begin to speak out as well. Will it be too late? Once we start to really see the evangelical/Christian Nationalist portion of the Project 2025 agenda unfold…we will then see who really supports individual rights and free speech.

People like Candace Owens helped create this monster. They cried about things they knew were bull #### (like claiming Trump supported free speech). They rubbed it in our faces and they embraced everything horrible about the man. They knew what he was and they wanted it.
Only now do they change their tune, and it comes either because...
A. They see Trump's massive and unstoppable slide in popularity and into disaster... or
B. Something this admin has done finally affected them.
Like pawacoot last week. One of the most spewing, angry, hateful little Trumpers on this site... until his nephew is affected.
These people haven't changed. They will gladly support and push the next monster that comes along, and they'll eagerly turn on you when they do it.
So, no thank you. I don't want them on my team. I want them to wear the Trump badge of shame for some time. I was willing to forgive em after the first term. Not after this one.

I'll put it this way: I don't fault too many people for supporting Trump from 2016-2020 or just thinking he was a better president than any Dem. Many realized the mistake and turned away from him. Even those who didn't, well, whatever. So we disagree.
But those who remained in his camp post-Jan. 6 are trash people. They saw an attempt to violently overthrow our democracy, they saw him support it and push it, and they still remained loyal to him. Then, they were given a wide array of other Republican candidates to support in the primaries, and they still went back to Trump.
They had ample opportunity and warning to turn against this man.
Only when he took power again and started hurting their bank accounts and letting DOGE run crazy on them and taking wild, drastic actions--actions he said he would do and they dismissed as him just trolling us--did they have an objection to him.
And to those people, I think they can #### right off. Their "turning on" Trump came from selfishness and not from seeing the error of their ways. And they will gladly flock to the next despot and sneer at us just as they did before when given the chance.
So no, I do not wish to have them by my side when we oppose this dictatorship attempt.

Now just a second and think back at ALL the conservatives who had speeches halted, cancelled and mob rule took over ending said speech before it got started.

He is in denial, folks in echo chambers will evade, deny or play word games to attempt to maintain their stated position.
Hence his reply on attempting to claim the leftist tactics to deny conservatives ability to hold a rally or speak is not about limiting free speech.
I will gladly listen to opposing viewpoints and would never shout them down, harass or use physical threats. Leftists consistently use all these tactics to shut down conservative speakers. I absolutely agree that he should not have been pressured to censor anything. i'd be interested in what he was threatened with to do it, or if they just said it would be a neat idea to do it. I will gamble political leaders of all stripes have “suggested” to the media what they like omitted from the general public.
