It sounds like the music that a mullet-sporting convenience store worker with finger tats and the 1985 Whitesnake poster on their trailer living room wall would choose as their theme. The way he lets it just go on and on... it is embarrassing for him. That said, I totally agree with his take on Colin Kaperdink and the absurd "oppression" protest.

Just glad it's rock.... so tired of the crap that gets passed as "rap" and "hip hop" today. ....
Besides, it's a theme song for a sports talk show..... I think it's going to come off a little cheesy no matter what.
And I second the drum work!
Question is it a result of studio production or can he pull that off live?

The vast majority of "rap" today is straight up garbage. That's not to say all rock today is great. Unfortunately music in general has suffered. Having said that. ..... there is a ton more creative and interesting music from the rock genre (broadly use that term) than from "rap"..... the produced crap called music is incredibly annoying, far from creative, and anything bUT interesting.

Yeah nothin like a little double kick pedal scream metal to help me level out to a healthy after-work energy level...
It's far too long and uninteresting, and with radio types being so vigilant about limiting dead airtime, I don't see how WCCP permits him to continue playing it knowing that it's pure audio diarrhea for like 90 solid seconds...

It is quite awful. It probably plays so long because Walt is slam dancing to it around the studio and gets too dizzy and out of breath to turn it off.
But at least he follows it up with a voice made for newspaper.
