Have we recruited out of there in the past or is this a new thing? Or just purely prospect based maybe? If my memory serves that's 2 CA linebacker offers for 2014. Just seems a bit odd to my uninformed self.

To think that just a few years ago Tiger fans were having strokes, Heart attacks and ready to hang TDP from any tree as long as his feet were off the ground. And now with the way Dabo has turned our FB program around, wooooo ain't we glad TDP took that chance on our WR coach.

If it means anything, Gardena Serra has been one of the best high schools in CA the last few years. They won a state championship in 2009 and last year (2012), and they lost in the championship game in 2010. Also, Robert Woods and Marqise Lee are recent alumni of the school.

Yep, Gardena has a good track record.
Located probably with traffic about 45 minutes South of Los Angeles.
Not the greatest of areas but better than Compton, its neighboring city just to it's East.

Serra HS has been a pipeline to the real USC, UCLA and other D1 West Coast schools for years....their program is a constant SoCal power out here and is very well coached, etc...more offensive D1 guys recently such as Woods and Lee from SC, but the real deal in terms of talent level and upper tier SoCal HS division competition.

Make the recent history by not limiting the opportunity that is now, we have depth. Now it's time for the who is who of those at the top to step in. Anyone who disagrees should fall in line behind Tommy Bowden or some of those other guys who don't want to fight for theirs.
