He is the kind of guy who will sign a contract for so much money it dooms his team to salary-cap-forced mediocrity for the next ten years and then stop bothering to put forth any effort to win because he now has "f you" money.

Yes he is not looking good. Think he is playing through an injury, probably shouldn’t be playing considering how poorly he is doing

They're about to be 1-3 with him playing in every game

Pointless to let him play injured if they're just going to lose anyway.

I had a long conversation about 6 months ago about Joe Burrow with someone BEFORE he had this injury or signed this huge current contract. and my conversation kind of revolved around his longer term future vs Trevor Lawrence long term.

Burrow I believe was an Ohio high school player of they year then went to Ohio State couldn't beat out there QB's there at the time although i will mention urban meyer is a terrible QB judge/coach and they also required there qb's to run more. Fast forward to his junior year at LSU he had a nice year but they did finish 9-4. Then his senior year we all know he had an amazing year he won the heisman and the title, but keep in mind he had 2 all pro NFL receivers on that team.

His first year in the NFL he only played about 6 games then tore his knee ( people have forgotten before he got hurt alot of NFL vets didn't like his smug attitude and vowed he would get hurt/ and he did) I give him credit he came back from the injury had a great 2nd year went to the super bowl and they only lost by 3. then last year pretty good year overall AFC chamipionship game.

One thing i noticed when he was at LSU that has continued in the NFL he spins into alot of sacks, and the Bengals offensive line got alot of grief for it, but upon further analysis many more people have figured it out (that alot of the times its not the OL fault he causes alot of his sacks) he always comes off to me as wanting to lap up the praise when its going good but he stays quiet when people get on his OL even though its often his own fault.

on top of all that i've always thought he may be one of those chronically injured guys just based on how he moves, as for the comparison part to Trevor, many people dont realize how much younger Trevor is although just one draft class behind. I think Trevor will have the better NFL career i think he loves the game more and once he gets 2 NFL all pro receivers like Burrow it will be clear.
