its a pure shame for him to go pro!! Jack could have sapped every bit of confidence out of him and conv9inced him that all he was good for was to bunt and get picked off base!!Jack could have made him a .200 hitter with NO POWER in 2 years!!

.....second he was the highest rated catcher not to sign a contract with the big leagues instead signing to play ball with the Tigers. So MAJOR difference between Okey and Chavis. I love Okey think he will be a Tiger great one day but Chavis is on a different level all together. Just hope we can convince him to take the college experience over the big money he is bound to make......

wrong again. okey made it plain to everyone he was going to college. he would have been a very high draft pick had he wanted to sign.

Okey wanted 1.5 million and was a second round pick. He withdrew his name once the teams called and told him their number. Hence, his tweet, "tigertown, where you at?"

do you think we are the only team this happens to. happens all over the country, every year. even to the mighty coots. should we just not recruit someone if he is really good. some actually do come to school, like dwyer, crownover, okie. carlos rodon and trey turner went to nc st. shall i continue.

What good is attracting these high prospects when 99 out of 100 of th go pro...efforts would better be served trying to find a diamond in the rough rather than a superstar?
