They capitalized on our weakness and advanced.
Congrats to the Longhorns

I thought prior to the game people on here were stating Texas was an overrated team in an overrated conference. I thought they only made it to the playoffs because of their weak schedule?
It is amazing how the narrative flips after a loss.
Even comments during that game why from Cade being overrated to Cade is better than Lawrence. There are truly some emotional posters on here (especially the ones that start every comment with "we", like they actually play on the team).

I use we and us a lot but it's the context of Clemson overall. I would guess 99% use it in that context and never think of being on the team.

Anyway, it does flip. I thought we had a good chance at knocking them out. Obviously we did. (the Clemson coaches and players) couldn't solve the zone spread offense all year. The few teams that were good enough that Clemson played were able to run.

Why would a South Carolina fan take the time to make an account here? Shouldn't you be getting ready for your irrelevant bowl?

And I don't think the narrative flips. I know 99% of fans of South Carolina have no education, and those that do have a joke of one (what was your SAT, like 1050?). But fun fact, both things can be true. Texas is a good team. Texas is an overrated team.

Texas is good. They paid a lot of money to be. They also have a ton of vulnerabilities, that Goodwin was too incompetent to capitalize on. I think Texas was the the fifth or sixth best team in the playoffs. (Oregon, Ohio State, Georgia, Notre Dame, Penn State, Texas, Tennessee, Clemson, SMU, Boise State, Indiana, Arizona State). That's really nothing to sneeze at. But people were claiming Texas was the best team in college football. Many said they were clearly better than Georgia, even though Georgia blew them out once, and then beat them again with their backup QB. So that's being good and being overrated at the same time.

The SEC is the same. They are clearly better than the ACC, Big 12, and all the G5 conferences. If you lined up the SEC teams against the ACC from best to worst, they would likely win all or almost all of them. But I think the Big Ten is better than them in a very similar way. The seeding was designed to try to keep teams from the same conference from playing each other in the finals, and I think the odds of Oregon-Ohio State in the finals would have been very high. So the SEC is a good conference, and it's also overrated by people wanting to pretend they're so dominant.

My daughter attended Clemson, so I keep up with them. Admittedly not a fan or alum myself, but I enjoy keeping up with the pulse of the team through here.

Until you can explain why a coot fan is a coot fan, nothing that they do makes sense.

Are they fans of the 51 winning percentage?
Are they fans of the one conference championship in their entire history?
Q: Who are fans of losers?
A: Losers.
