I don't think the issue is the virtues or lack thereof for reefer. It's about expectations and rules. Sammy isn't in a position to ignore the ramifications of failing a drug test or getting arrested. The college football history books are full of super potential guys who washed out because they couldn't tow the line and meet the behavior expectations set for them. If you own a multi billion dollar enterprise like many of the guys on your list well then you can tell people to shove it and have your lawyers beat the rap. If you are a 18 yo kid who has two nickels, great hands and an unbelievable 40 time, right now you need to tighten it up. I applaud Dabo for the message being sent. And as a parent, I could see this being another feather in his recruiting cap. I for one would appreciate the fact the accountability is being taught with a little tough love.
