Ah! White towels and "sandstorm"!

That may be the tackiest, most irritating tradition in all of NCAA athletics. I also believe that "Cocky" is the most ridiculous looking mascot in all of US sports, with the possible exception of the "Philly Phanatic". That's a really close contest, and I would have to add the old geezer from WF to that mix, too! Any others I missed?

And that was during the whooping we took in November. I didn't find anything wrong or dumb about it. However I cannot say the same about Cocky. That is just plain wrong and dumb

Not sure why nobody at US thought of starting traditions until 32030111 was started. Guess thats our oldest one. Got to start somewhere. I like sandstorm. I dont particularly enjoy techno but it gets the crowd going and the players seem to like it. Hope we stick with it and it becomes tradition.

Actually the entire Sandstorm thing was copied from none other than Clemson Basketball as we played it for a few years in LJ before it was ever heard at WBrice.
