Idea for when the missing piece of rock is found....

Hopefully it is recovered before the UGA game.
The buses roll around the stadium. The tigers begin assembling at the top of the hill. Dabo is miked up. The crowd sees him holding the rock skyward and quiets down so he can speak. He places it where it belongs and says something like "the Rock is back and so are the tigers". The cannon fires and the team comes down the hill.
Think the stadium would be loud, crowd would respond, and the team might run through brick walls?

That piece of rock is probably in the lake...

Could be Hartwell or Keowee. If it's in Hartwell, then it's probably on the north-east side of the bridge near the stadium. If not there, then somewhere around where they were camping on Keowee. My bet is in Keowee.

He better be glad he doesn't live in the "head on a pike" era. In another time, that would be a fitting temporary replacement.

Nah, keep it til the coot cook out in Nov. Have Taj hold it up for every player to touch prior to coming on the field. Kick coot #### and make the Little Rock the traveling rock from that point on. New tradition to bolster the old.

acts of the vandal by, in a strange way, appreciating the fact that he broke the rock the first place.
Therefore I'd say no to that idea. I'd put the missing piece back; however, if it is not going to be recovered, I would mold a piece of clear glass or repair it by putting mortar of the same color back and sculpting it to look as if it were never broken. It just looks flat out tacky with that giant piece missing and jagged edges.

Nothing more powerful than a recaptured flag leading a charge. Just because it was lost doesn't mean it is demeaned. Recaptured and taken into enemy territory by our faithful.
Can't believe you would add plastic to our Rock. Show the wound proudly and make the heathern pay by taking the Little Rock on the road.

Show what a drunken kid did "proudly?" Seriously?

That's a terrible idea. You're making the incident something it was not. It'd be different if the d@amn thing was struck by lightening or an in some way an act of God...but it isn't. It was something that a drunken buffoon did for sh!ts and giggles. What next, a statue of the kid for giving us this "great tradition?" NO THANK YOU

His dad's business is masonry - so they probably needed a great cornerstone for some huge skyscraper. THAT is where we will find the missing piece.
