COOTS AT WORK...
May 23, 2016, 12:16 PM
|

COOT: South Carolina Gamecocks are the SEC EAST Champs!!! What did Clemson win? ME: Well, we won the series against the SEC EAST Champions.
COOT: All you won was a 6th place seed in the ACC cupcake conference tournament over the weekend, while we won our division. We're SEC Division Champs!!! Me: Well, the SEC EAST Champs played two schools in the ACC cupcake conference. Clemson won the series 2-1 and North Carolina humiliated you by a score of 15-0. ACC-3, SEC EAST CHAMPS-1.
COOT: We're Division Champs! ME: Using your own Coot logic, there are probably 8 teams in the ACC with better records than UNC or Clemson, so that means there's 8 to 10 teams in the ACC that would beat the SEC EAST Champions.
COOT: SHUT UP!!!!

that the top two college baseball rating services have the ACC picked as the highest rated baseball conference overall this year, with the SEC being 2nd. (on The Early Game, 107.5. Benji Norton tries to keep them straight as much as possible with Coots.)

The men's soccer team was Clemson's second sports program to win a national championship, winning the NCAA Tournament in 1984 and again in 1987.[26][27] In their 26 appearances in the NCAA tournament, the men's soccer team garnered runner-up finishes in 1979 and 2015, and has appeared in the NCAA Final Four eight times, with the 2015 squad being the most recent team to accomplish that feat.[28] In addition to their NCAA titles, the men's program has won 16 combined ACC regular season and tournament titles, with the last one coming in the 2014 ACC Tournament. The Tigers have known only three coaches in their history: Dr. I.M. Ibrahim (1967–1994, 388–100–31 career record) and Trevor Adair(1995–present, 50–48–10 record at Clemson) and Mike Noonan. Former Tiger Oguchi Onyewu played with Clemson in 2000 and is currently with Sporting CP. Other former Tigers include Stuart Holden and Paul Stalteri, both of whom are capped for their respective nations.

Golf[edit]
The Tiger golf team have a tradition of being among the best in the ACC and the nation, having won several ACC titles and regularly qualifying for the NCAA Tournament. In 2003, Clemson defeated Oklahoma State to win its first National Championship in golf and the 4th overall for the school.[29] In addition to that victory, Clemson also won the ACC and NCAA East Regional titles that year, making the Tigers the first program in NCAA history to win its conference, regional, and national championship tournaments in the same year.[29] Clemson has also won seven regional titles since the NCAA adopted the regional tournament format in 1989.[citation needed] 2009 U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover played golf at Clemson.

but mine was shorter. I called a garage door company after a power surge knocked out the motor. Up drives a red or garnet truck with coot magnets all over. He says, " I see your problem, it's all this Clemson stuff you have in this garage." I said, no, I have one of those Spurrier doors. It just quit on me. He turned to start his work. I asked if would be alright to pay him with a Clemson check.

We should have a thread available to all members of TNet that offers business services. This thread would need to be permanent so that it could be accessed all of the time and updated regularly. Of course, it would have to be predetermined which board this thread would be located on. The person listing their business would, of course, have to be a paying member. Business would have to be verified, but this would give everyone that is a member of TNet an opportunity to support fellow Tigers. If I was seeking engineering projects, repairs, improvements, purchases, etc. I would much rather spend my money with a Tiger, assuming they're reputable, than any SCar fan or graduate. Would be kind of like paying it forward. I would be willing to donate my time to help with this.
