We might slide to no 3 but this isn't some crappy team like Samford or South Carolina.. TAM played good, has a great QB and played us tough!

Agree. After escape tonight against unranked Texas A&M, I don't see Tigers losing again. But our "best defense in nation" better earn that reputation from now on. Venables will be hard to handle at practice this week.

Coach V might take it out on the players, but dropping a “slow” lineman into coverage and rushing three is a problem. Any team can can hit that. Zone coverage with all day to find a guy usually results in a bad play. Rushing guys gives the quarterback less time to throw so the guys don’t have to run as far in my opinion. Give the guys credit, we won the game.

Probably but it doesn’t matter. We have a LOT of work to do. This allows the coaches to get the attention they need. Lots to work on for the defense, the OL and the OC and DC. Feels a little lke 2015 after beating ND. I can see a slip up but this team has better overall talent than 2015-2017 on D. Running game has to improve. We gonna be ok. Fully expect we drop to 3 or 4 but doesn’t matter.
