Depends on what you're going to do with it.

Casa Dragones is my favorite sipping Tequila, but be ready for sticker shock. Anything inexpensive will work if you're going to make a syrupy sweet drink like a margarita.

Does the expensive stuff really taste better?

Feb 7, 2013, 12:19 PM

It all tastes like rotten burro farts to me.

Or better. The really good stuff you can sip and it's as

smooth as a Macallan 25 or JW Blue.

I always like the Don Julio Anejo. It's about $45, but that's still cheaper than the really expensive stuff. I will usually drink it in a double shot glass alongside a double shot glass of sangrita with a salted rim. Sip the tequila then then the sangrita. Excellent. Stay thirsty my friend.

And don't forget sangrita is different than sangria.

Always my favorite. It's expensive, but not ridiculous.
