Two time Trumper, now thouroughly disgusted with the man.

But Nikki IS 'the man' they say; Warmonger, Social Security raider, Establishment, Inc, open borders, etc...

But Nikki ain't batshite sociopath like Trump, and she ain't dementia-fogged corrupt like Biden, so give me one good reason not to vote for her.

Heck, give me two. I'm all ears.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Clearly, Trump made an impulsive statement, his justification for advocating for terminating ONE PART OF THE CONSTITUTION … if indeed a part of the Constitution codified this … was that no stolen presidential election should be allowed to stand unchallenged simply because going through the lengthy legal process to challenge the election and the bad actors who participated in the fraudulent election could not be indicted, tried, and convicted before the new (fraudulently elected) president was sworn in.

He’s got a point, as far as our laws having never made provision to redress election fraud, but his anger about Team Biden getting away with election fraud (even though it is not known whether an honestly thorough investigation would have led to. Trump win, ow whether Biden would have on anyways).

However, like it or not, The Constitution does not allow for an after-the-fact (by that, I mean after the new president had been sworn in) unseating of the fraudulently elected president.

That Trump didn’t persist in advocating to terminate THAT ONE PART OF THE CONSTITUTION that allowed stolen elections to stand shows that, once his anger had subsided, he knew that The Constitution is not a perfect document, and that our founding fathers recognized this. Thus, our founding fathers established a methodical process through which The Constitution could be modified (Amendments) to address matters which the founding fathers didn’t foresee.

Here is where your hatred of Trump has blinded you.

Trump spoke (words, not actions) about ONE PART of The Constitution that he didn’t like, and wanted changed or removed. Words only.

Nikki has advocated for the removal of anonymous free speech. Words, no actions, from Nikki. BTW, Ben Franklin and John Adams, among other prominent men during the time of America’s founding, frequently wrote anonymous letters that were published and made available to the public. (Franklin & Adams were justifiably scared of retribution from the English rulers; England had no such right for citizens to exercise free speech if that speech was critical of the government). Nikki’s words, probably made carelessly (they couldn’t have been made in the same vein of outrage as had Trump, who was aggrieved by the fraudulent election), suggested that the First Amendment meant little to her. The good news, to my understanding, is that, after she got blasted for this, one of her handlers told her that her ‘no anonymous messages on the Internet’ recommendation was an affront to the First Amendment. Thereafter, Nikki … again to my understanding … has cooled it as far as comments that collide with the First Amendment.

Much bigger is that the current OBiden Handlers Administration has blatantly flaunted The Constitution. Not by words, but by actions. Biden’s initiative to forgive student loans and transfer that burden to the American taxpayer was struck down by The Supreme Court. OBiden Handlers Admin has simply ignored the SCOTUS order and continues to set up the payment of student loans.

The Constitution has the three co-equal branches of government: Executive (president), Legislative (Congress),& Judicial (Supreme Court). However, the Executive branch controls the power to deploy the military and FBI (also, the CIA and DoJ); therefore, our OBiden ecevutive branch has, in effect, t9ld the judicial branch to 'try it … make me stop.'

Executive branch is charged with enforcing laws. OBiden admin executive branch chooses to not enforce numerous laws, including not interfering with or pushing political objectives into the activities of law enforcement FBI), Justice (DoJ), and Tax collections (IRS) departments. As we've seen with the Hunter Biden stuff, the OBiden admin Executive branch has deeply insinuatef itself into the leadership decionmaking forbeach of thevFBI, DoJ, and IRS.

(*). So, what's worse? Talk about changing / doing away with part of The Constitution, followed by backing away from that talk (i.e., the Trump & Nikki thing), or Deeds (with out any talk) to ignore The Constitution and simply use the federal government departments for the furtherment of political objectives?

Apologies for ganking this back top, but after two days of Covid induced zombitude, I'd like to respond to Keowee at least, since he was first to reply and a known Trumper:

I agree with most all of Trump's policies, especially as regards foreign relations and the border, but the man himself is an intolerable #####. So many opportunities he's had to show graciousness, especially in victory, but again and again he's proved not to have a thimble-full of grace in him. After winning New Hampshire, he could have taken the podium and thanked Haley for a well-fought campaign, and maybe even invited her into the fold, but instead, he ridicules the dress she wore and calls her 'birdbrain'.

Birdbrain!

HIS freakin' UN Ambassador!

No way can I vote for such a petulant old child. Not again.

The long-term disability he has through the police union likely guarantees some portion of his income when he became disabled, typically 50%-75% going by my non-police policy, but police might be and should be higher. But the catch with that type of disability policy is that it is applied "after" SS disability and any other supplements. So he gets a SS disability check and other benefits, then the disability policy from his job adds to that to bring it to whatever the policy level is. It wouldn't be 3X paychecks - it's a combination of benefits that brings him up to some percentage of one paycheck. I don't know how the pension counts in his case, but per my policy it would decrease the disability policy benefit.

He'll find himself with a single or low double-digit lead and he'll continue his melt-down and put-downs and that'll do nothing but drive more voters to Haley, which will perpetuate the cycle.

If you want someone who takes their base for granted, doesn't campaign, doesn't make any effort to reach out to the electorate - vote for Trump, not Haley.

If you want someone who refuses a challenge, is afraid to debate the issues in a public setting, and chooses juvenile schoolyard putdowns instead - vote for Trump, not Haley.

If you want someone who has publicly stated that their OWN political appointments were incapable and unqualified and ineffective, then vote for Trump, not Haley.

I could go on, but I think that's probably sufficient to answer your question!

I see no evidence that Haley is for "open borders"

She acknowledges there is a looming issue with SS funding - I guess that's where SS raider comes from..

Is she a warmonger because she supports supporting Ukraine?

Establishment - yes.

Perhaps you should apply the same calculus to DJT’s chances of beating Biden. If you were a logical person, you would vote Haley. She’s the only one with a shot.

How do you define "establishment"?

She's held public office more than once. Yes. Has she made a career out of it? No. Has the power-broker's club been a big supporter of her? I'd say no. Especially now, when they'd rather support a proven misogynist and sexist like Trump rather than a strong-personality minority female.

I'd say that she's not part of the establishment, otherwise the endorsements of current office-holders in South Carolina - and nationally - would be reversed, with her supporters being the majority and Trump - the "non-establishment candidate" - being the minority.

As it stands, Trump has the support of all the major current office-holders and the party, so I'd say that pretty much makes HIM establishment and Haley non-establishment.

I'm voting for her unless someone can give me a reason or two not two. If Trump gets the nomination I'll hold my nose and vote for him or not vote at all
