AJC on Coot Non-Qualifiers
Jul 11, 2014, 1:14 PM
|
|
AJC quoted Norm Van Brockling, the old Atlanta Falcon Coach, by saying that all you need to get into Coot U. is an expired fishing license , in reference to their 8 out of 21 football non-qualifiers A/O today.

Heard Alex Hawkins (former coot) say the same thing on the old TBS football show back in the 1970's

See the post mentioned earlier today about partial qualifiers in the ACC. The SEC can take as many as they want.

Same ncaa requirements. . Different school and conference requirements.
Clemson still has an academic Review board. USuC practically cancelled theirs when the old ball sack threatened to quit.

CJ is no brain surgeon but he approached college just like he approaches everything. He was well known around campus for attending every class, sitting at the front and working his tail off. He spent many hours in Vickery Hall. CJ Spiller was a model student athlete. He earned his degree by working at it and when he made honor roll, he was incredibly proud of what he had done.
You ought to find a better example. Picking on CJ won't get you anywhere.

to become eligible for college.
Are recruits who find South Carolina attractive somehow less intelligent than most recruits?
Is South Carolina desperate enough about making a Signing Day splash that they accept guys that everyone else has passed on based on the risk of not qualifying?
We know that South Carolina's requirements are not MORE stringent than other schools.
How many years back at Clemson would you have to go to collect 8 non-qualifiers?

In the Coots, AMAZING FINISH of the 2014 class. They weren't smart enough to realize that no one was recruiting these amazing 4* athletes because they knew they couldn't get them in school. They were crowing about "flipping" Wideman from F.S.U. when F.S.U. had long since given up on him and moved on to players they could actually get into school.

My cousin goes to Clemson but framed her USuC acceptance

letter. She got a scholarship into their honors college, but she never even applied to USuC. So she got it framed because all of us in our Clemson family think its hilarious they gave her a scholarship even though she never applied. I know many other Clemson students who applied to USuC but were given scholarships there.
