Stocks down, mass layoffs, rising inflation, unpredictable, unconstitutional EOs

Nazi salutes, breaking with allies, siding with Putin saying Zolenski started the war, rising egg prices, 18-year-old hacker, "Big Balls", in the treasury computer system, shutting down departments, trump calling himself king...

This is what winning feels like?

Only positive is that he just got in office and he may settle in. We don't know how things will shake out. As of now he has been an absolute clown, but we will see how things workout in the end.

Stocks down? Stocks are up YTD. If you’re going to fret over a decent pull back you might want to invest in money market funds and quit worrying yourself.

That will not ever change. That’s the thing about stock investing. There’s always something around the corner for investors to knee jerk over. I swear a lot of investors live looking for the next reason to panic. Bear farts in the woods? Sell!!!!

So you want to invest when they are the highest?***

But he does know something is about to pop. He has made a massive shift from equities to cash in the past year or so. Almost 30% of the company's assets are now cash. Also a record. Even as the market has climbed, the cash position has still climbed higher as a percentage of holdings. I'm not sure why dollars are his sudden preferred thing to hold to preserve value. He's obviously staying away from a danger we don't yet know about. If it were inflation, he's be investing heavier in energy and commodities, but to pull money from the market seems odd. The dollar isn't in the most stable shape right now anyway. If markets crash, he will be seen as a genius, but what causes the crash remains up in the air. Plenty of things could cause it. And the most dangerous things that could cause it, are what we're doing now.
