Shipley ran well in the 1st half

He always got stronger in the 2nd half. The chicken defense had trouble stopping the run all year. Dabo let Shipley touch the ball 5 times while trying to pound a square peg into a round hole with DJU passing in the 2nd half. It's not like this was an unusual off game for DJU. It was typical. Even the chicken coaches said they couldn't believe we stopped running the ball. DJU was just being himself. The dumb coaches lost the game.

We didn’t throw too much. We were trying to get first downs and win the game. We lost because the the starting QB was 8 for 29. That’s the worst stat line I’ve ever seen and it was atypical even for DJ. We couldn’t have just run the ball and win the game. Please have a closer look at the play-by-play. We needed to be able to throw the ball and DJ was awful. We ran the ball plenty and just continuing to give it to Shipley wasn’t the answer.

Offense needed to play a little angrier IMO in that one. They showed sparks of it but it in that type of game you have to roar a fire with it. Glad Cade gets a chance to go out on the winning side in that series next season.
