Our evaluations of QBs is terrible I will admit. Basically we had two legit starting QBs out of that group.
At Clemson during the same time span:
Cullen Harper '04 - Legit starting QB Tribble Reese '04 - Transfered to Charleston Southern Michael Wade '06 - Graduated, career backup Willy Korn '07 - Transfered to Marshall, North Greenville Kyle Parker '08 - Pro Baseball Jon Richt '08 - Transfered to Mars Hill Tajh Boyd '09 - Legit Starting QB Tony McNeal '11 - on roster Cole Stoudt '11 - on roster Morgan Roberts '11 - on roster

Kyle Parker was going to be playing MLB all along, he was athlete enough to gain the starting QB position.
The point, of course, is that Spurrier has this great "reputation" of being an evaluator and developer of QB talent......so far, thats not been the case at usuck
His reputation as having endless discipline problems has followed him from UFla, however.

I don't disagree with you, he has done a pretty poor job in terms of evaluation/development. Only two decent QBs on the list of guys he's brought it. The main strengths of his teams have been most defense and, more recently, the running game.

so in 20+ years spurrier has yet to graduate a QB at SCU, put a legit one in the NFL, or let a single Black QB line up behind center. The man is a genius.

Grossman has bounced around for a while now. I think Spurrier coached him his first two years at UF.
