Please explain to me how adding a bunch of crappy schools to an already bunch of crappy schools helps anything? Clemson and FSU need to get the hell out of this conference as soon as possible and not look back. Whoever is left can feast on the remaining non relevant teams. Are we really debating adding Rice UConn SMU? Come on people!

I think a lot of people are just getting punch drunk on this topic. I will be glad when Tuesday rolls around and we see if anyone declares they are leaving the conference or we are adding anyone. Once that is past us, I think we can start to get back to just talking about the season that is nearly upon us (which will be a lot more fun to discuss).

If you try and look at this objectively, you realize very quickly that ACC schools have different objectives that are making this decision very difficult. For those who want to leave, it makes no sense to add these schools. For those who want to stay and hope the ACC can remain viable after the crown jewel teams leave, it would make sense to add these schools.
It is a shame that our exit has to be hurt by adding them because if it didn't make it more difficult, the long-term objectives for the ACC as a conference would be better served by adding them.

Not sure anything the ACC does now will keep Clemson or FSU interested. Revenue gap is too big and no one they can add at this point is going to make little to no difference.
I see some praising the intellect of a Cal but this is more about football not a spelling bee.
My gut says B2G, in what year, I have no idea. Would be shocked if we ended up in the SEC and again that is just my gut feeling. As long as we can increase our revenue to keep us relevant I do not care which one it is.

The AD said today,in my presence, that the teams in the ACC need to get their act together. FSU and Clemson can not carry the load for the entire league. NO mention was made of any moves to be made by the Tigers.

Now that college football is officially the NFL minor league, you all will soon see that the schools that have the most money to spend to pay players will win the most championships. It sucks but it’s reality. $$$ = championships.

They want to bring in more teams and that will keep you in the ACC for another decade, I think. That's the only reason why.

It's obvious the crappy teams in the conference want to add more crappy teams to make it even harder for the few noncrappy teams to leave. The same noncrappy teams that are the only reason they are getting a nice payment every year since nobody watches any of their games. With friends like that who needs enemies.

We are the best brand in the 3rd/4th best conference. We need to unshackle ourselves from dead weight of the lower 2/3 of our conference. But the landscape is shifting as we speak. The only thing for certain is that the college football and their playoffs will survive. And so will we. Go Tiguhs!!

Might as well add App St. , Coastal, Liberty and Marshall. They can be competitive on the football field. Instead of those suck@$$ teams aforementioned. Go Tigers ! ALL IN ALL THE TIME!!!

Please bring in UConn, USF, Miami Ohio, Richmond, Campbell(good baseball), Georgia Southern, Navy, Army, Bama Birmingham, Ragin Cajuns, etc.
Let the ACC grow to 24 G5 teams. They could be good.
At least we could leave easier as they go from $38mil to $19mil annual.
