Boys, Dabo is going to have our team motivated to run

through a wall and destroy these wolf puppies. I was told that he asked our media team to create a motivational video and cut up plays from last year’s loss and include doeren smoking the cigar in the postgame interview as well.
He wants our guys to remember what it felt like and not only not to let it not happen again but also to get some payback!
If XT is back, I’m expecting him to be chasing that qb all night and leading the DL. Hopefully we get a couple of secondary staters back too.
Go Tigers! Game Day and Tiger nation is in for a great show!

Think we were posting same time. We'd be ok if Sheridan can't go. Nate, Nate needs to be 100% mentally and I think he will. If he can't go physically, Tyler? Maybe Sherrod?

Mukuba and Greene are the key. Pride didn't do too bad but we've got to have experienced safety(s).

All due respect for positivity…

We couldn’t get pressure on the Wake Forest QB; what have you seen that makes you believe we can get pressure on a QB that has a better OL? And are you seriously pinning your hopes on another player who has never been able to stay on the field??? I really don’t want to hear one single word about Xavier Thomas until he is IN THE GAME. With him I will believe it when I see it.
I never EVER thought I would be saying this, but if it weren’t for DJU and our NFL-quality place kicker our season would probably be over now (just like Oklahoma). And even on a day where he played his best game, DJ was often hand-cuffed by terrible, gutless play calling. Whoever called the plays on the last two series of the first half in the red zone should never be allowed to call another play here. We should have had two touchdowns.
At this level can we really afford to give the OC and DC a whole season for on-the-job training? Goodwin is a disaster. Please Dabo, swallow your pride, go back to work and hire a DC who is up to the job!!!

To be fair, the lack of pressure Saturday seemed to be more of a designed approach to not over pursue on the slow mesh and keeping contain. I was not a fan considering the result. Different offensive scheme this week and thus, likely a different approach.

We’ve handled that mesh garbage in the past by pushing the line back into the QB and RB WITH THE FRONT FOUR. On Saturday the “mesh” had nothing to do with the fact that our front four couldn’t get pressure on Furman, LA Tech, or on this average Wake team with a QB who folds when you put pressure on him. Instead we made him look like Joe freaking Montana.
This front four has been an abject failure so far this season. Add that to nearly all our starting DB’s being out, and… thank goodness that DJ had a great game and we have a star field goal kicker. Those two guys won the game for us. Our OL does nothing to bust holes for our RBs. It’s all yards after contact for Shipley and Mafah. And there sure ain’t many yards before contact for those guys.

A lot of our pressure is because of blitzing players from the back 7 and creating 1 on 1s with out great DL. They said we would be prepared to defend against the screen, which is why we didn’t have much pressure on the QB. It was by design. Wake took advantage of the man on the outside, but it never should have been that bad.
We have had a “too close” game around this time with every one of Dabo’s teams. I don’t expect to see another team throw 6 TD passes against us again this season.

Wake really is. You can come back next week and call me FoS if we lose, but I think Wake is far better than NCST.
Mark it down.

We beat NCST and will be undefeated. Everything is speculation at this point so you say no and I say yes. No need to get emotional.

Agree with your assessment of the offensive play calling and the inability of the O-line to open up holes (other than the first play of the game). Don't agree with your opinion of the Wake QB. Any time I've watched him, he's been gutsy and on-target with most of his passes. Having said that, he did underthrow quite a few against the Tigers but our DBs had their backs to the ball and couldn't take advantage...

Yes, Dabo will have them motivated to run but, they didn't achieve great success. There were a good many occasions when they would run two out of three downs and wound up with too many third and long situations. Wasted time, effort, and energy. I wish Dabo would would throw his play sheet in Lake Hartwell and hire a qualified play caller. I am tired of seeing the same worn out plays for years that continue to produce no positive yardage. There is hardly any diversity in play calling. As well as DJ is throwing the ball, they easily could score 2-3 more touchdowns by eliminating those up the middle with Shipley and DJ for losses or no gainers. Not one pass with a slant across the middle that has produced success each time. The play when they send the tight end straight down the field also produces success might be used once a season. In addition, the short slant, used to throw to Renfrow, with tremendous success, is seldom seen in short yardage situations on third down. As I watch other teams play, there is much diversity used in play calling. The clock is more irrelevant with a 30-40 point margin. Come on Dabo, open up the play book, calling. You are just way to conservative and stubborn. Even though your formula for success is wonderful, and I am grateful, it could be made easier rather than nail biting.
