Arby's burger review

Was going to go the grocery store for more healthy options, but saw the sign and turned hard right.
They tried to make it seem gourmet by burning the outside and keeping it a little raw in the middle. Everything else was just average. For $10.90 / combo, I can't say it was great.
A Wendy's Double would have been better.

Culver's, or The Clock. Wendy's ain't bad, and every now and then I crave BK or Mickey D's. I'll have to give Arby's a shot at some point though.

burger joint on Hwy 11. Knew it was going to be good when I walked in the door. Became more sure when I saw Miss Betty reach into the cooler case and come out with a fist full of ground beef to shape into the patty. Wunderfulness was confirmed when it hit my mouth.
Miss Nan told me to be sure and come back on the first Thursday of the month when they have pork chop sandwiches

Reminds me of Your Place at the very end of Market Street in

Charleston. It was a shack, and how it passed any building code was beyond me. Every inch of wall space was stacked high with 50 lb bags of onions for their freaking incredibly delicious hand-crafted onion rings. When you ordered a burger, they reached into the cooler and grabbed a handful of ground beef and slapped out a patty, and tossed it on the flat top. Three elderly white ladies, each usually smoking a cigarette the whole time they made your food, and yet it was unreal how good the food was. I saw an article written back in the day where some of Charleston's most celebrated chefs said they would often sneak down to Your Place for a burger. It was a tradition for the Mrs. and me on any trip we made down there.
Found this: https://charlestoncitypaper.com/your-place-was-the-best-thats-all-there-is-to-it/Your Place was the best — that's all there is to it - Charleston City Paper It had seemingly been there forever. The faded blue shack at the end of the Market with a painted sign that claimed "This Is Your Place." Curious but, as a new Charleston resident, intimidated by its nondescript facade, I didn't go inside until after the City Paper's very first Best of Charleston in March of 1998, when Your Place swept the Best Burger category handily.

Sandwich? If not - do yourself a favor and get one. I used to get the Culver's butter burgers all the time but since trying their pot roast sandwiches have not had a butter burger since...
