Glen, the shop owner informed me last week that he had 60 lf of cabinets coming to finish this month. I figure it's the Lord's work so I shot two coats of 2k epoxy primer over the well worked high build and am about to remount all the detachable body parts. I didn't think I could finish it before the cabinets arrived.
Rather than install all the glass I'm using a plastic body wrap. It's the stuff they use to wrap up a wrecked car with broken windows.
Anyway, the project car is on hold until I buy a paint booth. I'm pretty tired so the break works for me. I'll probably hang out here a bit more in the coming weeks. Too bad for you, right?
BTW, the lines are almost perfect and even the small dips next to pinch joints are filled and smooth.

All roads have their potholes. I admire your attitude and persistence.

It need some work and I've found a parts truck to use the sheetmetal and all the stuff he tore us while texting and driving. It'll keep me off the corner but without that hustle money I'll be broke.
As long as I got something productive to do I'm happy. God just doesn't seem to like me sitting on my butt.

This morning it was the meth raccoon. This evening, I'm convinced it's 88's alter-ego after he bangs off for the night and brings a little paint home to sniff. The Ranger "given" to him is actually one he stole in a paint frenzy and didn't remember it come morning.

my meager SS check. I haven't spent a penny of savings. I replaced the entire lower back windshield frame and two patches on the quarter panels. Also the quarter panel rust extended to the area behind the rear wheel wells.
I rebuit the steering gearbox, climate control module, cruse control module, replaced all the vacuum pods and lines in the air handler under the dash. Mixed and matched a complete interior for the car including SEM colorcoat paint on all the panels and Surecoat on the dash, rebuilt the window regulators on all four doors, restored the sunroof sliding system and a list.
I added a passengers' side air bag, restored the seat motors with upgraded to the power headrest with wiring and switches to match.
Obed® tortures me for not having a rotisserie and space to have done a true concourse restoration.
For me the goal isn't going to be as sweet as the journey.
Did I mention I removed and scrapped the gas engine and put the 5 cyl diesel engine in that body along with the transmission? Had to learn to read electrical schematics for that one.

You should put 10,000 cans of paint back in there.***

It wasn't just the cleaning of that shop.

I replaced the blower motor on his AC unit for the cost of the motor ($200), replaced the door knob on the back door and added a deadbolt with a steel cover on the edge of the strike plate making it almost impossible to gain passage without a key. The bay doors were barn type and the security there didn't suit me so I fix them so even a chainsaw wouldn't get you through it. I also replaced an area of sheetrock in a bedroom ceiling.
I added two breakers to the service box and installed two dedicated boxes, one for my compressor and one for my power tools. I also put a capacitor on his gable fan at cost, $2.
I reckon all this to God for it's certain He has other plans for me for the next few days, weeks or month. I got the body of that car in near perfect condition. Not rust and no fuss.
Tigerfur gave me the Ranger and also the Infinity. Both need some front end work so I have plenty to keep me busy for the next little while. I'm a happy as a pig in mud.
