my dog's breath constantly smells like rotten crab, fish and shrimp that has been out in the sun for months.
What is the typical cost of dog teeth cleaning?

stop humping her leg. Day and night, this guy just won't quit.
Doc says 'well we could neuter him or put him on some hormones'
And she say, she say 'Hell naw, can't you just trim his nails and do something about his breath?'

Have this issue with my wife's dog. Do you feed the dog hard food or soft food?

Probably a chronic disease that teeth cleaning is not going to fix. Vet told us that feeding that mangy dog soft dog food allows food to get stuck in the teeth and breaks them down and gives them bad breath kind of like eating candy that is chewy. Hard dog food does a better job of removing that. I would suggest trying the cleaning and switching to all hard food. If that doesn't do the trick then there's really no use to keep paying all of that money. Buy some OTC dog mouth cleaner from Walmart and keep using it. Be careful though. Too much of that doggy Listerine will give them the squirts.

I'll occasionally brush my dog's teeth when he gets

buttbreath. Paste out of baking soda and water, maybe olive/coconut oil to make it a better texture. Dog's all like, "Ahhh, what're ya doin' to me you azzhole! Ahh-ah...STAAAHHP!" Rinse off with wet paper towel after a good brushing. Then generally dog avoids me and gives me the stink eye for a couple of days for my heresy. Screw him, it's better than smelling his a$$breath.
