Sorry if this is the wrong board, but I need to vent.

I just discovered that Ivan Koloff has been relegated to the Legacy wing of the WWE Hall Of Fame. The man who once defeated the legendary WWWF Champion, Bruno Samartino, in Madison Square Garden for the World Heavyweight Championship, and was one of the most hated heels in the business for over a decade, representing the evil Soviet Empire, doesn't qualify for the regular HOF. I know a recency bias is to be expected, but this reminds me of Dale Murphy not making the MLB HOF. It's like a bad joke.

I think he should be in on his own. But, I definitely think he and Nikita should be in as a team/stable. If friggin' Koko B Ware is in, Ivan should definitely be in.

as political and biased as any other human endeavor and lead to questionable inclusions and exclusions. I don't view any of them as the sole source of truth for that very reason. Following them can be a source of entertainment, but taking the roster of any of them as the final word in 'greatness' simply means that you've decided to subscribe to the opinions of a group of people that you've probably never met and have zero insight into their reasons for voting something or someone in or out.
But yeah, Koloff is a head-scratcher for me too.

good memories of Township Auditorium, Greenville & Spartanburg Memorial, Charleston County Hall, etc. Saw rasslin matches back in the day at I don't know how many places. I remember it was Monday nights in Greenville, bunch of us in Johnstone Hall would head over for that sweet NWA action.

True but WWE has let in a lot of NWA/WCCW/WCW stars in the WWE HOF. One that comes to mind is Abdullah The Butcher, he was never in WWWF/WWF/WWE.
