I hate losing. Felt like and looked like we found a way to lose. On the other. I’m not that discouraged. FSU has their best team in a decade and it took overtime for them to beat a Clemson team that many Clemson fans have had questions about.
Ultimately, I thought it came down to this……
FSU’s 6th year QB, beat our QB that has 5 starts. The kicking problem is simply inexcusable. People are being payed too much money to give us the “sorry, I didn’t realize the car needed 4 wheels” kind of excuse.
Question - What is FSU gonna do next year when they don’t have a 6th year QB? Cuz that run game doesn’t look like much help.

No. I don’t think they can reload. They barely beat a QB with 5 starts. Next year they’re gonna play a guy with 17 or so starts and they’re gonna have a guy with a handful of starts in their program.

Jordan Travis is at the peak of his game and he still almost lost again. Their run game was almost nonexistent compared to Ship and Mafah.
I think we will need to survive this season, focus on filling the gaps on the roster (recruiting AND portal) and Cade should be that much better for the 2024 campaign. I think we are a year away with him.

We played Diet Tennessee in the bowl game with all the guys they had out. Lost.
We played Duke. Lost.
Today, lost.
Out gained all of them... Tennessee and FSU by more than 100yds.
We just held FSU to 22yd rushing on 20 carries.
We are inventing ways to lose right now with turnovers, some even unforced this season. We make terrible coaching decisions in crucial moments.
Next good team we play, we'll have another excuse as to why we lost. Bottom line - its on us. We've not been beaten yet, we're just losing.

Travis was 5/15 in the 2H. He did nothing to win that game except make ONE throw in OT. The game was decided by the scoop and score and the missed FG. We had some poor coaching decisions in some crucial spots, too. With the portal the way it is, we are going to be playing more and more seasoned QBs each year. To heck with everyone's 5th or 6th year guys... we controlled that game today and blew it.
