for making the tough call. i was on the fence also bc of what Jack means to Clemson and his big picture success. However, our program is very stagnant right now and there isnt anything pointing to another great run. Its been 5 years since we have been any kind of postseason threat. We were lucky to find our way in the tourney the past 2 seasons and jhave had several bad losses....its actually become a consistent thing to lose to mediocre teams mid-week.
Jack probably did just enough to justify keeping his job for another year, but it just comes down to what you want out of your program. DRad wants us to compete for championships and its clear in his eyes that Jack's best days are well behind him......and past 5 years support that.
Im sure Jack would love to go back in a time machine and have back one of those games agains the Gamecocks in the 2010 CWS. Those losses changed the course of the program to what it is now.
There's no real great outcome in all of this.
I would like to see Jack release a statement. It appears his thoughts and frustrations are being channeled via Twitter by his players and its a bad look, IMO. Its also clear several former players have no concept of history on Clemson baseball.

I am glad . Our baseball team needs a new direction , one that is trending up . Middle of the pack is not good enough.
