The only way to clean up COLLEGE athletics...

.... is to change the philosphically to be, "The purpose of an athletic scholarship is to assist a student in earning a college degree."

But, nobody wants to even consider that approach - fans, coaches (Dabo excepted) presidents, administrators, or NCAA administrators.

If you not are going to penalize colleges for signing athletes who do no graduate, then the only other options is the direction we are goins - hiring athletes, making them employees, and making academics irrelevant.
