Some thoughts on this years team

I’ll start with I’m not even that disappointed with this team. Since reality has set in and playoffs isn’t realistic. My thoughts are this a lot of blame still goes on Tony Elliot like that 3rd and 3 when he called a pass I mean bad call. Should have just ran the dang ball. I was really happy seeing the creative calls start of the game. The sweep plays that attacked the perimeter. Needed more of that but Elliot went away from it. I really like this running back stable Pace Mafah and Shipley the real deal all 3 can run hard and move the chains. What this offense lacks is a accurate QB and offensive coordinator that’s creative. If Dj was accurate and Elliot was just somewhat creative and unpredictable with his calls then this offense would be throwing up 35pts a game. Why Tyson P isn’t given a drive or two just to give him a shot is wouldn’t hurt I mean people say it hurt DJs confidence. I disagree I think it make DJ better by showing him he needs to be productive to keep his starting position. The defense is good they play incredibly hard every game and it shows. So what’s left on the table for this season trying to win as many as possible hoping for 10-2 and a Acc title. However i don’t think anyone is expecting that 8-4 to 9-3 looks more likely Pitt and Wake will likely be our two major challenges. We can finish strong by beating the Coots they struggled against Troy yesterday beating the coots i 100% expect to do. Then going on and winning a bowl game. Years ago 8-4 9-3 and a bowl win was a good year. I know that sounds disappointing this season. But I say sit back and just enjoy the year and come back next season with a new QB. One can wish a new Offensive Coordinator but Dabo just isn’t going to do that. But looking at Klubnik it’s easy to be excited perhaps he’s Trevor Lawrence we can hope.
