Okay, so for a while now Clemson Tom has been making videos before and after each football game. However, this season he has announced his retirement from doing such. You know at first I thought that his videos were obnoxious and annoying, but now I don't think I could imagine a football season being complete without CLEMSON TOM. I spoke with him tonight and he asked if I would take a vote.
So here it goes folks. If you would like for Clemson Tom to continue his video rants and raves about Clemson Football then please respond with a simple yes or no...
This is more than just getting a laugh or two. This became an eventual Clemson tradition for me and my fellow Clemson Fans that tailgate and watch games with me. We always watched for a pre-game warm up. So if a few of you could share your thoughts then let me know.

Why? I mean the tradition was the first of it's kind. It's original. I like his creativity even though it can be abrasive and offensive at times. However, he shows his passion for the sport and his team. He is there for the wins and the losses. He isn't a fair weather fan like a lot of folks I see. He has earned my respect.

I was ok with the videos. Knowing their origin was a parity on a VT kid who took himself too seriously.
I don't want him showing up on gameday as a Clemson spokes person or anything like that but the videos were pretty good.

I've met him and the guy on the youtube videos isn't the guy in real life. He throws it on during the videos out of passion. In real life he is a good dude. I think some of the fans need to get the stick out of their behinds. enjoy them or don't watch them. It's that simple.

Nobody called you a name... I was just saying folks in general need to lighten up the issue a little bit... He doesn't curse in them. Also, he only offends the opposing fan base. Not Clemson in anyway... I would actually prefer our players to play with more attitude anyways. I like the chip on our shoulder style of play. I think it carries over from fans like Clemson Tom. In fact, many players have commented on him to me personally and they like him a great deal.

The Pig suewee comments where so funny...lol it's just comedy and fun. How could you think someone would think he embarrasses us?
He doesn't represent us or Clemson he is just giving a funny exaggerated view of other teams we play or teams who play the teams we play. He's a great Clemson fan making the Clemson fans get a great laugh through a hilarious view through YouTube.
Don't quit Clemson Tom we love it like a tradition that keeps us laughing and enjoying Clemson Football. If people don't like it, it's like TV, don't watch this channel.

Something I thought was really funny. He mentioned Tavon Austin and said something along the lines of " that dude was fast! I blinked and he was gone" lol. Maybe not funny to some of you but I thought it was. Plus it was really hard for anyone to put a smile on my face for a week after that game. But yeah I wish he wasnt retiring. I enjoyed the videos for the most part. The whole prank calling thing got old after a while even tho I would have to admit that I thought it was funny sometimes.

No, he didn't graduate from Clemson. However, I'm not sure that matters. he is an IPTAY donor and his family has strong ties to the university. I work with a few clemson grads that don't even give to IPTAY. That being said, it doesn't matters here you went for 4 years.

Have seen several clemson grads that don't wear their ring. One of my friends graduated a couple of years ago and she rarely wears her ring. She loves Clemson and always talks about how she wants to go back but she just doesn't wear her ring

I don't understand why some people bitchh so much about his videos, a lot of people really enjoy them, if you don't then never watch it, no one is forcing you to watch his videos and everything can't revolve around what you like or dislike. You may try to pull the " making clemson look bad" card but if you asked any student on campus what they thought of clemson tom each one would answer they love watching his videos, the students love clemson tom. Maybe this vote would be better if the actual students and players were asked and not the trolls and coots on here. We love his videos, the players love the videos but the coots hate him which is why you're going to get this type of response, they're probably about to ##### themselves they're so excited to get over here and vote because they've been getting embarrassed by him the past few years.

The guy gets likkered up and post a video using profane and foul communications and shows his butt in a public forum. I just don't want anyone thinking Clemson men act that way. I'm not saying I haven't seen grads act like they but I've yet to see one make a habit of it or do it regularly.
I watched one of Tom's video then refused to give him the attention he so desperately desires. I really don't know how his 'thing,' has developed I just wish he'd go away.

I saw one and that was enough. I have no problem with foul communication though they corrupt good manners. I have no problem with drinking, as long as I'm drinking there's no problem.
Tom and I have a different opinion on discretion. Nothing more and nothing less. The OP asked if we'd prefer Clemson Tom to continue, I still say no. He embarrasses me.

I speak for many when I say the best parts of getting ready for games right along with tail gating, drinking ice cold beer, and going to TD's was laughing our butts off at the latest Clemson Tom video. Our big tail gating group would always pull up his latest video and all gather around to watch right before going into the stadium. His videos have become a tradition. Other schools even had copy cats that attempted to do the same thing, but failed. The only people I ever knew that didn't like his vids were coots. Most of the time coots that pretended to be tigers just to bring him down. I say keep the videos rolling! Tiger town needs you Clemson Tom!

Well I mean I have ties to Clemson as well. I am a fan, my Grandfather played for Frank Howard. His footprints are at Tillman Hall. My Father, 2 uncles, and 4 cousins attended and graduated from Clemson. However, I was accepted to attend Clemson, but chose not to. I instead gained most of my education in Iraq and Afghanistan. I spent 10 years over there. By 18 years old I already knew how to kill a man. By 19 I had already killed quite a few. By 20 years old, more than 15 of my really close friends had died over there. So tell me, how tough was that stay at Clemson?
Now, don't get me wrong, I love Clemson a great deal. If I didn't have the medical problems associated with my previous educational experiences then I would be an ALUM. However, not many of us are as lucky as Daniel Rodriguez. Besides, I have a company to run right now and don't really find myself having the time to take an exam or join another fraternity.

Give the guy a break. Every school has a fan that gets on YouTube and talks smack prior to games. Considering what else is out there, Clemson Tom is actually decent. I met the guy last year at Tiger Town and he seems to genuinely love Clemson.
Yes, some of his rants can be a bit corny, but the guy loves Clemson despite not having graduated from there and gives more to the university than most of the critics on this board.

Hate to be the bummer, but seeing him on game day was the end for me. I say time to hang it up ole Tom. Descent while it lasted. Funny at times but you got the 5 minutes you were chasing. No offense, but it seemed like you were doing it for yourself, not Clemson. Again, I'm sure people will hate my point of view, but hey, it's mine.

There will always be your stereotypical southern "nincomepoop/maroon." We see them day in and day out. Easy to find....They always wear their patagonia short shorts, visor, sun burnt red face from drinking all day, costa sunglasses w/ croakies turned around backwards with sunglasses resting on neck while croakies serve no purpose hanging down, confederate flag or saltwater gamefish belt, sperry boat deck shoes, Kappa Sig coozie/cooler, and guy harvey t-shirt. We have no choice but to see these guys so might as well have one that annoys and pesters the h*ll out of the Gamecock fans. I'm not a fan of CT, but theres always some space that needs to be filled....keep him around.
