Daughter is about to land from her 4 month study abroad in Genoa, Italy. Pic of her with President Clements and his wife a couple days ago. She’s just wrapped up her junior year in Architecture. Go Tigers. Ready to have this one home. Hope I attached it right, never tried one before.

When Scott Newton first opened it, the place was called Goldenwoods Bar.

I was living in the Rock House in Six Mile at the time, which I rented from Scott. It was the house he grew up in. Scott was the developer of Goldenwoods and a pretty successful local real estate guy. At the time, I was managing Quarters and Scott offered a bartending job to me, which I turned down because he had his wife mismanaging the place. I liked her, but I couldn't work for her.

was a favorite of mine back in the day too.
Also, as bouncer there, did you ever get to throw anyone down those stairs? I rolled down those stairs a few times, but I did that on my own without someone pushing me.

With his arm locked behind his back when he wouldn’t stop being grabby with some girls after being warned about 3 times, that was interesting.
Ended up quitting after I tossed an underage punk out for the second time and he pulled a gun on me in the parking lot. The clientele there really plummeted.
