So.......who replaces Venables?

i mean the way you tigers are boasting about that defense you'd think Brent resurrected the dead or something...... but in reality......well, the numbers don't lie.
I think Dabo owes Coach Steele an apology.
Clemson Defensive Stats
Points per Game 2013 - 24.5 (quality teams: Georgia- 35, FSU-51, USC-31, OSU-35) = 38.75 2012 - 26.3 2011 - 29.5 2010 - 18.6 2009 - 21.8
Total Defense 2013 - 383.5 2012 - 400.4 2011 - 394.0 2010 - 324.1 2009 - 325.0
Rushing Yards Per Game 2013 - 160.2 2012 - 160.2 2011 - 170.0 2010 - 127.7 2009 - 152.2

I think he maybe a closet Clemson fan. He seams to spend more time on our board, and analyzing our team; than worrying about his on team and being on his own board.
I know I misspelled bored.

Thanks for the info! By the way, what did our offense look like for most of Steele's tenure here compared to now? Also, did you see what Steele's defense did against WVU? Nobody owes Steele an apology.

So Coach V has bettered Steele's final year of production in 2 out of 3 stats in 2012 and 3 out of 3 in 2013.
Thanks for that helpful insight.

Kevin Steele was a great Defensive Coach. The truth is that our offensive style has stressed our defense and Steele and current players were not able to adapt in time. Bringing in new recruits and a coach familiar with defense for a spread offense team has helped a lot. I expect Venables will get a head coach job after this season or the next. Truth be told it seems most head coaches are offensive coaches though.

You don't read or watch ESECPN do you. The whole country is expecting our D to be the strength of our team. I just hope that their predictions for our D doesn't go as wrong as they have for UGA the last decade. If they are, we are in trouble.

opener and Kentucky in the bowl, INSTEAD of Georgia in the opener and OSU in the bowl in 2013. In between we played a poor FSU team instead of National Champion FSU. In addition, we played GT in the ACC championship game and they did not PUNT one time. If Steele could have forced ONE punt, we would have won another ACC title.
In 2010, we opened with power house and eventual 3-9 North Texas State and followed up the next week with PC. We played a 7-6 Miami,3-9 Duke,8-5 North Carolina who barely beat William and Mary 21-17,7-6 BC,and LOST to South Florida in the Muffler Bowl.
We were pathetic on offense and defense.

i think you are pretty dumb, like most UGAy fans I know...when you have an offense like we have now you are going to give up more yards and your defense will be on the field a lot more given the quick drives and fast pace we run...I mean that is common sense

I cringe every time I see someone distort trends and include what a defense gave up against "quality teams." Like - it's almost as if teams with good offenses will have a tendency to be able to score more points against good defenses than teams with crappy offenses. Who'da thunk it and how the EFF do averages work?!??
For reference, the All-World Alabama defense gave up 45 points to an offense not even close to good as FSU's. Yet we won't hear about that from morondawg.
I have to say I'm impressed with the lengths this idiot is willing to go to convince himself that he doesn't pull for a soft, weak football team.

Wait... So numbers don't lie we have improved every year, also film doesn't lie. When elite defenses play great defenses they don't have to shut teams out they just have to make plays when they count. We have made those plays against you and OSU. Also we did get hammered by Free seafood, but they won it all and our offense practically handed them half those points. Same against usuck. 6 turnovers. Want a stat how about heisman hopeful's 1.5 yards per carry against us. Tell gurley to take some morphine before the game.

Those two bowl losses to Awbran aren't really sitting well with me eyethur. Albeit they were close losses & nothing they can really brag about but let's not get too far ahead of this upcoming game against ThUGAflopolis.
