As soon as I saw Ted Valentine on the court, I knew we were in for a long night.

Every team should have a couple of refs that they can dismiss from reffing a game, similar to challenges to a jury. Teams shouldn't start a game thinking they are going to get the short end of the stick from the refs.

I agree to reopen the lawsuit

This is not in the best interests of the university, with bad officiating now the common thread between sports.
One thing bad officiating does, regardless of what our awesome athletes admit, is that about two thirds into the game the team and coaches start to form strategies to close out the game. Momentum is building from teamwork and individual play.
Then, bad officiating comes, which takes confidence away. On a certain level, This represents the notion to all athletes on the losing end that no matter what they do, they won’t win. Or that they will keep punching the bag, but it might be moved out of the way in mid punch.
It is not just missed calls, it is a business plan to spread the championships throughout the conference.
College sports are garbage now and it is a travesty. Btw, I’d hate to see Clemson on the ‘winning’ end of officiating, that’s not winning.

I can’t remember in my lifetime we were on the good end of bad officiating, especially in basketball. I admit I have my orange tinted glasses on, but come on, last night was a travesty

The Specter of Lenny Wirtz reaching out from the great beyond

For those old enough to remember, Lenny Wirtz was a legendary ref for all the wrong reasons. Clemson got screwed by him more than the entire crew of an aircraft carrier making port in Southeast Asia did by the local ladies.
Wirtz was a henchman for the conference just like the stooges that called that game last night. The timing of the screw job made things particularly bitter. We just caved to the conference on the settlement and this is their way of letting us know who’s boss. That and protecting their golden calf in Duke now that Flagg is out.
Duke losing to Louisville is one thing. They’ve got pedigree.
But keeping Clemson from having a shot at the championship is right on brand for this conference.

That play was a flop attempt. There's slow mo video of #1 snapping his head back and was never touched. It was a good no call tbh
