nose by the SEC. First we hear the SEC tells them be carefull going beyond 12 teams. Now the SEC is telling the BIG XII to let them get the two teams they want and they will let the BIG XII have ND and whoever.

This is the biggest bunch of crap I have ever heard. It's like your older brother telling you that you really don't want that bowl of ice cream after you get done with your turnip greens. He makes it sound like he's doing you such a favor eating that ice cream for you while you finish up the greens. Give me a break.

The BIG XII is in the best position of all the conferences because the future of 16 team conferences is now. Get the best 6 teams that strenghten your football and you could be the king of the hill. The job of a comissioner is to do what is best for the conference. Getting lead around by another conference is not it. Go get ND,Clem,FSU,VT,GT, and Miami or NCST and start making money. The only thing left for the SEC is for basketball purposes only.

I would be surprised if the SEC is leading this...I think

the Interim Big XII guy is pushing and guiding this. Just my gut feeling. We'll probably find out that this is a joint effort with SEC/Big XII/ESPN.

I think Neinas wants to leave his mark and push B12 to #1***

I don't think there is any question....

that the latest round of expansion is a joint effort between the Big XII and the $EC.

I know I will probably get beat down, but I say take UNC rather than nc st. Football about equal and any conference UNC is in will be glorified in basketball. Its a win win. Other bonus we can see how they like being ruled by another school in the conference.

UNC and UT in the same conference?

that's like putting two beta fish where they can see each other. putting them in the same division is like placing them in the same bowl... fireworks WILL happen

Agree with your perspective! The Big 12 will expand to a twelve team membership this Summer, but who comes aboard is still quite frankly uncertain. Clemson and FSU as a package deal would be great for both schools, but there is a major sticking point. Texas apparently wants Notre Dame and someone else and because of revenue sharing is willing to wait for the Irish to work out a long-term arrangement until their current television contract expires in 2015.

Clemson needs to be quietly proactive and those of us truly interested in the future of the program need to make our collective voices heard within the university administration, BOT and especially the Athletic Advisory Committee membership. IPTAY needs to go on record in support of Clemson's potential move to the Big 12 or the SEC if that actually became an option (doubtful).

The majority of the Big 12 membership clearly needs to determine a course of action beginning May 30th and proceed accordingly. UT needs to be either "brought onboard" or told plainly that a larger Big 12 is the future of the conference whether they agree or not.

I personally want Clemson, FSU, Ga. Tech, NCST and or Va. Tech to join the Big 12 in the immediate future along with Notre Dame. Louisville would also be an option, but obviously Clemson somehow needs to acquire an invitation without fail or we all can assume our best days as a nationally relevant program are likely coming to a close.

Go Tigers!
