CK2 All-Time Clemson Ranking (So Far)

CK2 is #5 all time clemson yards passing (5816) + Touchdowns (45).
Top 10 in pure stats (ranked by passing yards)s
1. Tajh 2. Deshaun 3. Trevor 4. Whitehurst 5. Cade 6. C. Harper 7. DJU 8. Dantzler 9. Nealon Greene 10. Kyle Parker
I doubt anybody ever touched Tajh (107) passing touchdown mark.
But CK2 and Trevor are the most “efficient” with INTs.
Curious for all you old heads (I was like 8 when Dantzler played) where you rank CK2 all time? (SO FAR).

Woody was a legitimate dual threat QB...

He hurt defenses as much, if not more, with his legs than his arm.

Woody Dantzler was a lot like Jalen Milroe.
DC's needed to pick their poison, and some nights Woody would choose for them.

So many intangibles

Cade is talented no doubt. His receivers are nowhere near as good as Boyd's or Watson's. Different game too, Rodney Williams and Steve Fuller were awesome at the option, but could not really throw worth a toot. Woody was the first player in history of the sport to run for 1000 and throw for 2000 (maybe 3). That happens regularly now.
Whitehurst was maybe our best pure pro style QB, but his legs were not near as effective.
I am super happy with Cade and his progression. Over the past 3 years any mistake by Klubnik or DJU was catastrophic. - not just a fumble, but a scoop and score. Time management and not being able to get the FG unit in before the half.
I know very random thoughts, just so much that goes into evaluating QB's

Good points.
Have heard others talk about the great Jimmy Addison too from way back in his day.
Tajh also made lots of crippling INT/turnovers and would shut down after that - but Tajh really helped put Clemson back on the map.
CK2 has made pretty steady improvement: have loved seeing him with the added weight! It's been a big game changer in his ability to take hits / run the ball.
Excited to see how he finishes.

I think 4-5 is probably about right as of now. I expect him to be a solid 3 by the time he’s done here (Behind DW and TL)

Ranking it based on pure stats is stupid, because it favors so much (1) players who play all four years and (2) the modern era which hates good defense. Also, looking at only passing yards is absolutely insane, considering we didn't pass the ball much in the Danny Ford era.
1. Deshaun Watson 2. Trevor Lawrence 3. Steve Fuller 4. Homer Jordan 5. Tajh Boyd 6. Charlie Whitehurst 7. Rodney Williams 8. Woody Dantzler 9. Mike Eppley 10. DeChane Cameron or Cullen Harper (I lean Cameron for never losing at home, but Harper broke all kinds of records and led the way into the new era of Clemson).
Cade would come in somewhere in my 10-15 mark at this point. Probably like 14 or so. I don't think it's all his fault, but I would say he's underachieved thus far in his career, especially considering the level of talent surrounding him and how bad the competition has been. If we somehow lucked out and made it to the playoffs and he did well there, I could see him moving into the 9 slot or so. I think it would be very difficult without a huge turnaround to beat those above that though (he'd need to win out this year, come back, and then do well next year).

1. Deshaun Watson 2. Trevor Lawrence 3. Steve Fuller 4. Homer Jordan 5. Tajh Boyd 6. Charlie Whitehurst 7. Woody Dantzler 8. Cade Klubnick(He's not here yet but believe he has a chance to end up here) 9. Cullen Harper 10.Rodney Williams
I believe that Steve Fuller and Homer Jordan should be ranked higher based on the fact that watching the We're No 1 ACC special yesterday, Perry Tuttle tells Danny Ford, "You only threw the ball an average of 8 times game(1981)" and Danny answers, "That was about 6 times too many", tells alot. I believe Fuller averaged that in 1978, plus those 8 came mostly on 3rd and 7 or longer!!!
