Love the hypothetical. Bama last lost to an unranked team in 2021 at Texas AM by 3 pts. Before that, 2007. Those facts are probably why voters would be forgiving to them. The few times they were embarrassed over that stretch, it was to elite teams. TLaw says hello.

We lost to a veteran Duke team that was hungry just like we used
too be. Even though this helps the conference it still hurts.After
all, we didn't lose to App.State like Michigan did, but this doesn't
heal the pain. Hat's off to Duke because they came to win.

Duke would beat Vandy 10 out of 10 times and Bama will never lose to Vandy so it is a moot point.
