Thanks to the knowledge and information you all share in here, I successfully deescalated a very serious and potentially dangerous situation.
I just went for my lunchtime yog around the street. It was going pretty well, the weather was absolutely perfect, my legs felt decent, running a bit faster than usual. Around the 2-1/4 mile mark of my 2.5 mile run I hear a dog barking from a nearby porch. As I got closer, the animal continued barking and started in my direction.
I thought, shirley this thing isn't going to get too close....but it did. And it happened suddenly. Before I knew it the rascal was lunging at me and I did a hard plant with my right foot into a 360 where I found myself directly behind this savage and I immediately thrust 2 fingers directly into it's buttswhole and it let out a AAWWWHHHOOOOO!!!!! which ceased it's barking and unjust attack.
I was shaken but unharmed. The animal quickly retreated and I continued down the path just kind of - in shock.
BUt thanks to you guise, here I am, safely back home and able to tell you....
