but does anyone under 40 recall schools EVER being let out early (or closed all day) for thunderstorms in the forecast? This happens every spring by the way. We will have several days where there are bad thunderstorms around, and possible tornadoes.
####, if they did this crap in Kansas or Oklahoma every time bad storms were forecast, they'd have to have school through the whole summer.

I don't remember ever getting out of school due to a forecast. These kids are going to end up acting like my great grandmother, heading for the storm shelter at the first sign of a dark cloud.

the windows, well the ones that would shut, during storms. this made it real hot since there was no air conditioning.
