Sep 16, 2021, 6:47 AM

What does a general get for treason?

Are you saying that Flynn committed treason? Or that his actions and those of Milley (accused) are the same? Or both?

The statutory punishment for treason is

"shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000"

Trump hired a Democrat? I thought he only hired the best people. What gives?

That's some serious stuff!

Good thing that hasn't happened to us recently.

Making sure a rogue president didn't wag the dog with a nuke by bypassing his top general and the official chain of command and start WW3 on his own hook is "treason"?

Sorry, anybody who follows Trump that far is #$%^ing insane. And a lot of you are clearly insane because you absolutely would follow him that far.

What the #%^$ is wrong with some of you guys? The whole point of releasing nuclear weapons is that it's supposed to be hard. Milley simply ensured Trump wasn't going to go renegade and do an end run around him.

Absolutely not treason. That's putting country over career, self, and everything else, and we'd do better to have more like him.

I'd say that anyone who actually thinks Trump was going to nuke China is dumb as ###k.

I agree. The moron is the one who thinks Trump was going to nuke China. Just stupid to think that.

Keep in mind Milley was appointed by Trump...and for a minute, was one of Trump's favorite guys. He interacted with him repeatedly.

Milley then became convinced Trump was out of freaking control and a menace to potentially, well, everybody. A whole lot of people around Trump thought that, actually. The reports coming out now is that Trump was flipping completely out there at the end.

What does that tell you, that the people around Trump became so concerned by Trump's unhinged behavior that they started taking very real plans to ensure Trump wasn't going to do something loopy? Also, the subject of the 25th Amendment - wherein the Cabinet could remove a president for incapacity - was broached repeatedly...to the point apparently members of the Cabinet were doing a straw poll to see if it might be done.

Again, these are people who were around Trump, worked with him every day...and were extremely concerned.

The people who knew him well, were worried.

Again, not conjecture, and nobody except Trump himself is refuting any of this. Watching the way Giuliani conducted himself in stone bugsh!t fashion there at the end is pretty telling.

Trump was so crazy that Miley had to commit treason in order to save the planet from nuclear extinction. That’s going to make one heck of a Democrat campaign point going into the next election cycle and people are just dumb enough to buy it.

some seemingly normal people

Sep 17, 2021, 6:24 AM

are dumb enough to believe it. There are some really naive people today.

Most are too naive of history to connect the dots as to what is playing out right in front of us. Very sad to see a great country dismantle especially when it’s self inflicted.

Re: some seemingly normal people

And what would that be? That Trump is honest and right, and that EVERYBODY else is wrong, lying, and corrupt? And that's including many of "the very best" people that he personally hired. Has any POTUS ever had this much drama from his own inner circle? That should be all you need to know, buuuut....

MUST PROTECT DADDY.

If Milley simply reminded folks that they can't launch nukes

Sep 17, 2021, 12:04 PM

just because the President tells them to - then that's just reiterating protocol.

But if he called China and said - "I'll let you know what Trump is doing" - then that is pushing the treason envelope definitely.
