The very last thing I would ever do David is to try and tell a parent what they should or shouldn't do with their kids bc I made plenty of mistakes with my own. I just wanted to say that when your kid has his feet on the ground, you and your wife will have to watch where they're landing with every step, snakes are out now, and they are ready to bite and try to eat anything warm blooded that comes close to them. This is only a reminder!!!

THE Optimal Solution For When Football Season Starts (2020)

The optimal solution is this: College Football season to start on or about October 1. Full season. College Football regular season ends say about weekend before Christmas. Bowls / playoff games in January, with National Championship Game the same weekend as Super Bowl, College Championship Game on Saturday and Super Bowl Sunday is as always, Sunday.
September is way too hot (especially in the South) for Football, I was at the A&M game and THAT was a health hazard.
January will be a Sportsmen Paradise. College Basketball in full swing, Football Bowls ...
An option is to DROP so called "cupcake" games (two) in 2020. Ten Game regular season, but still on or about Oct 1 start for season as a whole. This will allow regular season to end say in the first two weeks of December, facilitating the study halls of the Student-Athletes for semester end final exams. Lost revenue though.

It is now September 18, about the first day of Autumn. It will be a little cooler and ample time to get the full season in. Only ONE BYE date, EVERYBODY gets the weekend AFTER Thanksgiving Off ... EVERYBODY, all teams all Conferences.

BUT, you realize that Clemson has not even let students back on to campus to collect their belongings yet....right?
