Actually, the teams with money hold all of the cards. And the Big 10 holds more of those cards. The day is here when the SEC teams (except Texas and TAMU) will not be able to compete with Michigan, OSU, Oregon, Maryland.

Why doesn’t the sec and big whatever just have their own? They can battle it out to see who the biggest ##### is…..they rest if the conferences can actually have a legit playoff…..no auto bs…..top 12 regardless of conference championship. In fact….do away with conference championship games and just have an actual regular season champ like SMU is this year…..simple.

Any time that has a realistic shot at winning the national championship is going to be in the playoff. All the griping between the non-contenders about which ones should be in or out is meaningless. Those teams aren’t winning it all anyways. The only purpose of the playoff is to have a consensus national championship, and it will deliver on that.

they would refuse to agree to any more changes. and if they big 10 and sec threaten to break off. then tell them to do so but refuse to play them in any sport. the sec and big not being able to play other conferences in baseball and hoops would be a huge blow to them

The bad thing about all the SEC and B10 teams getting in is there might the same two teams playing for a third time in one season.
