Not being negative. But funding scholarships where kids like the new Michigan QB make 3mill a year isn’t something I’m interested in. With NIL, we created a world where free tuition, tutoring, books, housing, training, food etc isn’t “worth it” or important. As a long time donor who makes far less than 3mill a year, one can wonder why’d they’d continue to give. I love my tigers but nil may break me as it’s already broken colllege football.

It’s still really important.
Most student-athletes aren’t getting NIL deals, and certainly not big ones. They aren’t likely to go pro in their sport, so academics are very important to them.

That’s fair. Sadly football may set a bad precedent where people assume, like myself, these kids don’t need it. Being honest, i pay to support the big 2 and not really interested in funding a rowing scholarship. I know, im horrible but most sports these kids know they aren’t going pro and focus and appreciate the academics

It was somewhat a rhetorical question. The money historically was for scholarships and facilities. One isn’t necessary anymore and the facilities that were once a recruiting too no longer are. Now it’s simply money.
But I’ll login to IPtay and do some light reading that’ll probably #### me off further. Ha
|
