smoking ribs while piddling in the yard...got me thinking..

I am not a huge fan of our mid/late summers, but I do like a long day - trimming up the overgrown brush/vines while keeping tabs on the smoker. Got some ribs and a half chicken.
I have never smoked anything on a game day, but this may be the year.
Problem is i have a big green egg, and I can't tote that beast back and forth. WEber kettle may be the way to go.
Any suggestions other than a pull-behind smoker/grill?

If you're wanting to stay in your element, Char-Griller Akorn is a kamado style made out of insulated double walled steel. Making it much lighter than ceramic grill/smokers. Might be less efficient as ceramic, but operates fairly close.
Akorn Jr was my gateway drug into a ceramic kamado grill/smoker. Small diameter, but is very light, transportable and doesn't use much coal. Price is about $150. Could only get a single chicken, or a single pork butt on there but it convinced my wife an upgrade was necessary.

The Traegger tailgater is one great grill. It is a pellet grill that has folding legs that make it easy to take camping or tailgating. https://www.traeger.com/pellet-grills/portable/tailgater-black Traeger Tailgater Pellet Grill Portable, Travel, & Camping Grill - Traeger® From the truck to the game or the cabin without breakin’ a sweat, the Tailgater packs a full-size punch in a portable package. It weighs only 62 pounds and comes with EZ-Fold Legs for max portability. Infusing big, wood-fired taste in tight spaces, now you can grill, smoke, bake, roast, braise, and BBQ wherever and whenever you #### well please. . If you are in the upstate, I know that Carolina Lawn and Tractor is a Traegger dealer and had one the last time I was in there.

Weber bullet smoker does a good job. Takes a little using it to learn how to get temp set, but not too hard to learn. Can cook quite a bit on the upper and lower racks. Not heavy and not too expensive.
