Should I spend thousands of dollars

Jan 2, 2017, 3:02 PM

To go to Tampa and watch the Tigers slaughter Alabama, or put all that money on Clemson and make a few $$?

go to the game, I dropped thousands of dollars last year and didn't regret the experience.

Money comes and goes, but memories last forever

Go to Tampa. We don't know how many times Clemson will be there. Maybe every year, or maybe not again for a decade. If you don't go, what will you do with the money? Go out to dinner a few less times next year, bring a few more lunches to work, and see your Tigers win a championship.

That'll probably be what I do***

Do them both. Your trip will get paid for after we win.

So your choice is buy tix or bet?

Jan 2, 2017, 3:09 PM

My advice (fwiw): Hope you enjoy the game!

Whatever choice(s) you make makes you. Choose wisely.

I just got back from the 0hi0 game

Jan 2, 2017, 3:40 PM

You don't want to miss this next game. It's been since '81 that we won a natty. I was at that game in '81, and I'm going to be in Tampa next Monday. Don't miss it.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Didn't go last year.....

Jan 2, 2017, 3:48 PM

And have regretted it for a year. I promised that if they got back I would be there.

How much can you make on $2000 bet if Tigers win?

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Depends on what you bet.

Jan 2, 2017, 4:35 PM

Against the spread it's probably right around $2k; straight up money line and it's probably closer to 4.5 to 5k net.

I bet it before the semis and got Clemson +1061.

Re: Depends on what you bet.

I put $820.20 (tried $820,17, 82 Orange Bowl 0 and 17 for this year's championship bowl. The Mirage wouldn't allow the pennies, so made it an even 20 cent) the 8 - 1 before the season started for us to win the natty. Payout including my original wager is $7381.80.

Go Tigers!

Nice***

Not even close--GO to the game.***
