Should Clemson sit it's stars this Sat.

I saw on the news where Spurrier is giving Davis and Shaw a rest and starting Shon Carson and Dylon Thompson against CC and maybe only use Clowney sparingly.

Shaw is starting. He said he wanted Thompson to play a few series, though if we get a big lead Thompson will probably take over.
Davis may play some, but he is really banged up with rib and ankle injuries. He really needs to sit. I didn't hear him say anything about Clowney not playing much

Stoudt and Kelly to get a halve to themselves, there is no way you can sit the starters when it's the last home game for a lot of them.

They certainly won't sit any Sr. Everyone will play, it'll be a lot like the SC ST game. Around a qtr in a half for most the star players. They need to make sure they stay in a good rhythm and not come out like they did against NC. St. after not playing starters for 2 in a half weeks.

I say play your starters the first half, especially the seniors and let them take a curtain call either just before the first half ends,or after the first series in the third. Let them enjoy their accolades!

sounds like a good idea but sometimes that week off gets you rusty like w bye weeks. so I'd just trust the coach here on whatever they do

I was not thinking about it being the seniors last game. That makes the decision a no brainer. However I would not play them in the second half if the game is in hand.
