Should Clemson Demand ND Like Considerations?

With our success, it’s time to take another look at this deal with Notre Dame and their limited ACC football participation. The rise of the Tigers shouts ND shouldn’t have a favored status anymore. Is it time Clemson started demanding special scheduling and such? Maybe we will favor ND with our presence every few years if they are nice.

My problem with more “performance based” payouts is it puts the smaller programs and an even larger competitive hole and it creates more incentive for programs to cheat.

I like it the way it is.

there are certainly ways to motivate some of these schools

to invest in their football programs without cheating. If I were ND I definitely wouldn't want to revenue share equally with schools like BC, Wake or Pitt.

Clemson should start its own network like Texas or demand a much higher split of the ESPN/ACC contract.

Realize the way it is means the ND arrangement. My question is not about the rest of the ACC's contribution, but about ND.

I don’t think we are that popular nation wide. We are the most important football program in America only in our biased little minds. We don’t have the fan following of a ND or Texas. I don’t think a Clemson network could survive financially at this time.
